Microsoft and LucasArts are happy to announce that “Kinect Star Wars” is now available at retailers in the UK!

Experience Star Wars in exciting new ways – controller free – as you wield a Lightsaber, use the Force, take on the role of a destructive Rancor, Podrace to victory, and even show off your dance moves in this highly anticipated game for Kinect for Xbox 360.

Crysis 2 retaliation map pack available today

Beginning today, gamers can strap into their Nanosuits and return to the streets of New York in Crysis 2 with the brand new map pack, Retaliation.

Retaliation features four maps that introduce new iconic locations to the fun, addictive and fast-paced multiplayer campaign that helped make Crysis 2 a critical and commercial success. New maps in Retaliation include “Park Avenue”, “Transit”, “Shipyard” and “Compound”.

One of the most critically-acclaimed first person shooters of 2011, Crysis 2 is rated 90% or more by over 50 outlets, including “4 stars out of 4 stars” from the Associated Press. Crysis 2 catapults players into Crytek’s stunning recreation of New York City in 2023. Ghostbusters: Sanctum Of Slime gets console release today

Atari Europe announced today the release of the first ever Ghostbusters digital title, Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime.

In conjunction with Sony Pictures Consumer Products, Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime is now available on Xbox LIVE Arcade for the Xbox 360 and Windows PC Download at Steam and Atari.com. Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime will be released on PlayStation Network on March 30^th.

Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime is a four player, ghost busting adventure that will take players on a brand new paranormal experience. Players will suit up with their proton packs and assume the role of a rookie hired by the Ghostbusters to save New York City from a disaster of ghoulish proportions in either single player, or cooperative (online or local).

The action-packed gameplay progresses as players explore a series of haunted environments that must be cleared of any ectoplasmic threats. The gripping adventure rages on as players encounter gigantic bosses that require a concentrated effort to defeat using a medley of highly destructive weapons including the Proton Stream, Plasma Inductor, and the Fermion Shock. The rookie Ghostbusters will face the dangers of the eerie world alone or with a ghost busting team of friends both locally or online through the game’s multiplayer capability.

Well unless you are clinically dead or are hiding in the mountains in Afghanistan then you will probably be aware that one of the most delayed and talked about titles for a while has just been released.

Kicking off with midnight launches all over the place, PS3 owners have finally got their fix of the latest edition of the Gran Turismo series. Looking at a few reviews, it appears to be pretty solid with some faults laid bare and picking up very respectable 8′s and 9′s out of 10.

We have been told that our copy is on the way so if you haven’t purchased yet and want to hear our side of things then unfortunately you will have to wait a few days.

EA have today launched a new Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit trailer which shows all the goings on with the boys in blue who are looking to spoil your enjoyment.

Criterion Games today announced a demo for Need for Speed Hot Pursuit.

This demo will give gamers early access to this holiday’s hottest action racing title. Starting October 26 for a limited time*, players can experience the intensity of friendly competition, using Need for Speed’s revolutionary social network, Autolog. This new in-game technology makes personalized recommendations to gamers based on what their friends have been playing. Autolog is a brilliantly simple feature that challenges each player to set the best race time amongst their friends. Play alone and reign supreme against the game’s AI or invite just one friend to join, and unlock a second track in the demo. Playing with friends or frenemies, players kick off an addictive competitive loop where the compulsion to be the best and earn bragging rights is irresistible.

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit ships on November 19th, 2010 and is already earning accolades from critics worldwide for pioneering a new innovation within the racing category. “Need for Speed Hot Pursuit could redefine online racing forever,” stated GamesRadar in their summer preview of the game. In Europe, Eurogamer noted that, “Friends, data and photos continuously stream into view, all offering new gameplay opportunities and challenges.”

“Need for Speed Hot Pursuit is blowing the roof off social competition and bringing excitement back to the racing genre,” says Matt Webster, Producer at Criterion Games. “We’re putting players and their friends at the heart of the gameplay experience by automatically tracking and comparing each person’s performances. In the Need for Speed Hot Pursuit demo, players will be able to chase as a cop in the Dark Horse Hot Pursuit event, speeding through the coastal highway and mountainous ridges of Seacrest County. At the heart of the demo is a social network called Autolog that tracks cop and racer performances while playing solo and uses those statistics to generate fierce competition between friends. Once players add a friend to their Need for Speed friends list, the second event will unlock called Roadster’s Reborn, where gamers can compete as racers to set the best times. When they download and play the demo they will also earn 500 bounty award points in the full game for both Cop and Racer careers. Accruing bounty will allow players to unlock events and exotic cars and progress through their careers in the full game.

The Need for Speed Hot Pursuit demo will be available for download October 26 on Xbox LIVE Marketplace worldwide and the PlayStation Network in the UK on October 27. The retail game will be available on November 19th in the UK on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

Dead Rising 2: Psycho skills DLC available today

Capcom has announced that the first DLC for Dead Rising 2 has been released today.

From today, Dead Rising 2 owners can make defeating zombies even more gruesome by downloading the Psycho Skills Pack. Psycho Chuck will be a zombie’s worst nightmare as his dark alter ego will make him more difficult to kill and give him a host of gruesome weapons including chainsaws, cleavers, axes and more. Zombies won’t stand a chance.

The Psycho Skills Pack is available today, Tuesday October 12, on Xbox LIVE for 160MPs and from tomorrow, Wednesday October 13, on the European PlayStation Store for €1.99/£1.59. Further packs will be released in the coming weeks.

Front Mission Evolved released today

Square Enix today announces Front Mission Evolved, developed in collaboration by Double Helix Games and Square Enix, for the PS3, Xbox 360 and in stereoscopic 3D for Windows PC will be on sale today.

The first of its kind in the series, Front Mission Evolved is an action-packed Third-Person Shooter and the next instalment in the classic Front Mission franchise. Players will take full control of the Wanzer, a massive humanoid, fully customizable war machine, in single player campaign and online multi-player.
