Square Enix Ltd. today announced that FINAL FANTASY IX will be available to download from the PlayStation Store across PAL territories from today.

When the Queen of Alexandria begins terrorising neighbouring kingdoms with highly advanced magical weapons, a skilful young thief named Zidane forms a group made up of bandits, knights and magicians in an attempt to stop her. Little do they realise that the Queen’s warmongering actions are merely a cover for a far more sinister plot. For the sake of mankind, Zidane and his company must put an end to the Queen’s reign before she and the evil forces that accompany her can carry out the deadly plan.

Originally released in 2000, FINAL FANTASY IX makes a long-awaited return this week, via digital download on the PlayStation Store. The original PS one release has long been out-of-print and unavailable to a new generation of console owners and FINAL FANTASY fans. Now players will get another chance to own and experience the tale of a young thief and a battle of good over evil.

Sony have just announced that the playstation store has been updated (it is huge) with a massive Darksiders demo along with a free episode for Blue Toad Murder Files. That’s right folks, Sega have just announced that the Alien Vs Predator demo will be released tomorrow on the xbox live marketplace, Steam and Playstation Store.Gamers will get their first taste of the multiplayer demo that will allow you to play as  human, alien or predator in deathmatch but only one map will be available which is Refinery.

Aliens Vs Predator is due for release on the 19th February.

Square Enix announces THEXDER NEO is available from today via PlayStation Network for the PS3.

The game, previously released for PSP in October 2009 is available to download from the PlayStation®Store on across PAL territories, priced £7.99 and €7.99. The new PlayStation3 download has been updated to include HD graphics and also contains the original Thexder PC version.

Originally launched back in 1985 from GAME ARTS and regarded by many as a classic, THEXDER is a side-scrolling shooter featuring slick animation, strategic transforming-mech gameplay, and spectacular homing lasers. Now you can experience the excitement of the original, complete with revamped graphics, a novice mode, six-player online races, and a host of other all-new features in THEXDER NEO.

Sony has just released, via their blog, the updates for the Playstation Store and unfortunately there seems to be no show for Bad Company 2.Looking through the list, there does seem to be some choice things available which includes some Uncharted 2 multiplayer additions and also the Assassin’s Creed II DLC.  Unfortunately, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 does not show so PS3 owners may have to wait a week for this to appear.  Here is the full rundown of what is available today.

Relentless Software today announced that the third episode of Blue Toad Murder Files will be freely available on the Playstation Store.As a thank you to gamers that enjoyed episodes 1 and 2 Relentless Software will be making Blue Toad Murder Files: The Mysteries Of Little Riddle free from 25th February through to 25th March.  You will have to have paid for the first title in order to play it but it is a great deal all the same.

David Amor, Executive Director at Relentless commented “Now gamers will be able to enjoy three episodes for just £9.99.  We have made a great game that we’re really proud of and we hope that this special offer will encourage more people to play Blue Toad Murder Files.  Episode three is our favourite so far; the puzzles are challenging and great fun and the cliffhanger and whodunnit may surprise some people!”
