UTV Ignition Entertainment Ltd., a global publisher and developer of videogames, recently announced that it has reached an agreement with Hothead Games to co-publish Swarm worldwide on all platforms via digital channels.

Swarm was  unveiled via a short teaser trailer at recent E3 .

Swarm lets the player take control of 50 utterly fearless Swarmites and drive them through an intense, entertaining and often suicidal battle for a greater good. Run, bash, huddle, boost, stack, jump, push and throw your way through gauntlets of death and destruction in an attempt to collect valuable DNA and ensure that at least one Swarmite survives. With a unique combination of mass character control and fast action, the resulting brutal aftermath will make players want to play Swarm over and over again.

2K Games and Valve today announced an agreement to power all PC versions of the highly anticipated Sid Meier’s Civilization V with many of Steamworks’ features and offer a special Digital Deluxe Edition via Steam.

In addition, customers who pre-order the regular or Digital Deluxe editions of Sid Meier’s Civilization V on Steam will be rewarded with a free map pack when the game launches in Autumn 2010.

Sid Meier’s Civilization V players will enjoy the benefits of the Steamworks’ features included in all PC versions such as auto-updating, Steam Achievements, downloadable content, multiplayer matchmaking and more.

2K Play announced yesterday that the critically acclaimed The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom will be available April 20, 2010 on Windows PC through Steam.

That’s right folks, Sega have just announced that the Alien Vs Predator demo will be released tomorrow on the xbox live marketplace, Steam and Playstation Store.Gamers will get their first taste of the multiplayer demo that will allow you to play as  human, alien or predator in deathmatch but only one map will be available which is Refinery.

Aliens Vs Predator is due for release on the 19th February.

Steam have started to take pre-orders on Bioshock 2 and in return customers will be given a copy of the original for nothing.

The game is reasonably priced on their store at £26.99 and there is also a bulk order pricing there too where you will get 4 copies of Bioshock 2 for £80 odd but you’ll also receive 4 free copies of the original.  You can’t say fairer than that and with high hopes hopes for the sequel this is a must buy for any PC gamer.
