Britsoft stalwarts Team17 have announced that three of their classic PC titles are now available to purchase from Steam. The three games are the original Worms from 1995, Worms Pinball from 1998 and Worms Blast from 2002.

Deus Ex Human Revolution to be made available on steam

Microsoft take on Steam with a revamped marketplace

Microsoft today announced the Games for Windows Marketplace, a new online PC games store that combines the convenience of the Web with the power of Games on Demand online distribution.

Launching Nov. 15, the Games for Windows Marketplace will offer PC gamers a robust line-up of games they love, easier navigation and purchase, and recurring specials such as Deal of the Week.

“With Games for Windows Marketplace, we set out to create a digital store built for PC gamers end-to-end,” said Kevin Unangst, Senior Global Director, PC and Mobile Gaming, at Microsoft. “And by integrating with our existing Xbox LIVE and Windows Live services, we’ve made it easier than ever for millions of gamers to see for themselves how easy buying PC games can be.”

A Streamlined Experience

Ubisoft announce Bloody Good Time

Ubisoft announced that Bloody Good Time, a new ip being developed by Outerlight, will be released on Xbox LIVE Arcade and on Steam this Autumn.

Bloody Good Time takes a new and irreverent approach to multiplayer shooters and will run on Valve’s Source engine, a well-known specialized 3D game engine for classic multiplayer shooters. Bloody Good Time puts players on a Hollywood set, where they get to choose their thrill. From a spring-break beach house, to a horrifying Vegas hotel, players will discover the merciless world of movie studios where anyone can star in a scary Hollywood blockbuster film. There is an option link up to eight players online in this first-person shooter and to have a multiplayer experience like no other.

In Bloody Good Time, players can be as devious as possible by maiming and killing other competitors in nasty and unexpected ways. Players can use an arsenal of wacky weapons including guns, a frying pan and even an exploding remote-controlled rat to transform the movie set into real mayhem. In addition, players will be able to choose from a variety of stereotypical B-movie characters, such as the bikini beach babe, the creepy clown and the super jock.

UTV Ignition Ent. unveil Swarm

UTV Ignition Entertainment Ltd., a global publisher and developer of videogames, recently announced that it has reached an agreement with Hothead Games to co-publish Swarm worldwide on all platforms via digital channels.

Swarm was unveiled via a short teaser trailer at recent E3 .

Swarm lets the player take control of 50 utterly fearless Swarmites and drive them through an intense, entertaining and often suicidal battle for a greater good. Run, bash, huddle, boost, stack, jump, push and throw your way through gauntlets of death and destruction in an attempt to collect valuable DNA and ensure that at least one Swarmite survives. With a unique combination of mass character control and fast action, the resulting brutal aftermath will make players want to play Swarm over and over again.
