Namco Bandai respond to Enslaved DLC problems via PSN

Namco Bandai have today issued a statement regarding a few problems that have occurred when gamers tried to purchase and download, new Enslaved DLC, Pigsy’s Perfect 10.

The statement reads:-

Dear all,

Namco Bandai are aware that a very small amount of consumers have been having issues with their PSN purchases of Pigsy’s Perfect 10 for Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. This problem was quickly resolved last week and players are able to purchase and redeem codes as normal.

However, if you have had a problem redeeming your code having purchased the DLC content on PSN, you are entitled to a replacement code which you can redeem by contacting customerservices@namcobandaipartners.com where you’ll need to provide proof of purchase in the form of the 37 digit code you received when you purchased the content from the Playstation Store.

Once again, the problem has been resolved and Pigsy’s Perfect 10 is available for download from all UK and EIRE customers and Namco Bandai Partners apologise for any inconvenience caused.

We reviewed Enslaved a couple of months ago and is fast becoming one of our games of the year.

Namco Bandai Games Europe today announced the launch of the DLC for Enslaved: Odyssey to the West.

The DLC includes “Pigsy’s Perfect 10,” a new side story where players take the role of Pigsy, the unforgettable character who was a non-playable ally in the main game. In addition, players will have options to experience both the new side story and the full original game in 3D. The downloadable content is available in Europe for 9.99 € via PlayStation Network and 800 MS Points via Xbox Live Marketplace

Pigsy, he of the one-liners and dubious hygiene, finally gets his time to shine. Alone in the Titan Graveyard he dreams of the perfect woman, so decides to build one from scratch using scrap from the junkyard. Compared to Monkey, Pigsy is more lover than fighter. His gameplay has a different dynamic, with a focus on stealth, sharp-shooting, and the abundance of tricks up his sleeve, including hookshot, grenades, Trouble Vision eye piece, and the aid of his trusty mechanical sidekick Truffles.

In addition, when a player downloads the new DLC, the core game will receive a TriOviz for Games Technology update, enabling all aspects of ENSLAVED: Odyssey to the West to be experienced in eye-popping 3D, including the DLC and retailer bonus costumes. The lush environments and action packed fights will jump off the screen, providing players with an exciting, immersive experience.

Fans with a 3D-enabled television can play in 3D using Stereo 3D Active Shutter Glasses. For those without a 3D-enabled television, Stereo 3D vision will be available on all 2D HDTV sets through the use of innovative TriOviz INFICOLOR 3D glasses. These glasses will be available for purchase via http://www.trioviz.com in autumn 2010.

As you are all aware, one of the potential games of the year has been released today in the form of Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood.

To celebrate this, Ubisoft have released a video explaining one of the new features in the game. Mini tasks will be given at the beginning of each mission and if accomplished how Ezio accomplished them will help you to become the perfect assassin and fully syncronise with the man himself. The DLC will include “Pigsy’s Perfect 10,” a new side story where players take on the role of Pigsy, the unforgettable character who was a non-playable ally from the main game. In addition, players will have options to experience both the new side story and the full original game in 3D.

Pigsy, the comical porcine character known for his one-line zingers and questionable hygiene, finally gets his time in the spotlight. The Titan Graveyard is a lonely place and Pigsy really needs some companionship beyond the mechs that roam the area. He dreams of the perfect woman and embarks on a mission to build one from scratch using scrap parts he finds around the junkyard. In contrast to the main game which features strong, capable Monkey as the playable character, Pigsy is much more of a lover than a fighter. Pigsy’s gameplay will have a completely different gameplay dynamic, with a focus on stealth and sharp-shooting. He has plenty of tricks up his sleeves including a far-reaching hookshot, trusty sniper rifle, various grenades and devices, Trouble Vision eye piece and the aid of his trusty mechanical sidekick Truffles.

Crackdown 2 will unlock Agent 4 in Perfect Dark XBLA

With the release of Crackdown 2 imminent, there’s a nice surprise in store for all Perfect Dark XBLA owners out there.

Buried within the Perfect Dark XBLA is a secret playable character known as Agent 4, so if you already own Perfect Dark and pick up a copy of Crackdown 2 when it hits stores across Europe on Friday 9^th July, this feisty black-suited gun nut will soon be under your command.

When Perfect Dark detects a Crackdown 2 save file on your device, it’ll automatically make Agent 4 available for use in the Perfect Dark Combat Simulator (aka the multiplayer modes). Better still, this is completely free of charge! Suit up and share the run ‘n’ gun love with the Crackdown 2, Perfect Dark crossover combatant.

Crackdown 2 will launch in Europe on the 9^th and is available for pre-order now and has been reviewed by ourselves here.

XBL Game Room dated for March

Microsoft’s Game Room, which will bring a virtual arcade to your xbox live accounts, has been given a March release.In what we can only assume will be an xbox live Spring update, Game Room will be joined by releases of Perfect Dark and Scrap Metal. Perfect Dark makes a return from the N64 console with new and improved graphics especially for this version. Let’s hope that the gameplay hhas not been altered too much from the original.

Game Room will allow Gold members to build their own virtual arcades, populating it with cabinets that can be purchased in their amusement area for their friends to play.

Perfect Dark to be playable at X10

Next week to be exact and after some leaked pics of some code on twitter, somebody at Rare was saying to just announce it on their official account.The dev said, “So on February 11th, everyone at X10 will finally have a chance to get hands on with Joanna – complete with her remastered visuals and silky 60fps framerate.

“And with the 11th in mind, here’s a brand new screen showing Mr Daniel Carrington in the foyer of his iconic institute (you can see that the floor has been well polished in preparation.”
