Crackdown 2 will unlock Agent 4 in Perfect Dark XBLA

With the release of Crackdown 2 imminent, there’s a nice surprise in store for all Perfect Dark XBLA owners out there.

Buried within the Perfect Dark XBLA is a secret playable character known as Agent 4, so if you already own Perfect Dark and pick up a copy of Crackdown 2 when it hits stores across Europe on Friday 9^th July, this feisty black-suited gun nut will soon be under your command.

When Perfect Dark detects a Crackdown 2 save file on your device, it’ll automatically make Agent 4 available for use in the Perfect Dark Combat Simulator (aka the multiplayer modes). Better still, this is completely free of charge! Suit up and share the run ‘n’ gun love with the Crackdown 2, Perfect Dark crossover combatant.

Crackdown 2 will launch in Europe on the 9^th and is available for pre-order now and has been reviewed by ourselves here.

For those of you who can’t wait to experience the chaos and carnage that Crackdown 2 offers, a demo is available now via Xbox LIVE.

XBL Game Room dated for March

Microsoft’s Game Room, which will bring a virtual arcade to your xbox live accounts, has been given a March release.In what we can only assume will be an xbox live Spring update, Game Room will be joined by releases of Perfect Dark and Scrap Metal. Perfect Dark makes a return from the N64 console with new and improved graphics especially for this version. Let’s hope that the gameplay hhas not been altered too much from the original.

Game Room will allow Gold members to build their own virtual arcades, populating it with cabinets that can be purchased in their amusement area for their friends to play.

Perfect Dark to be playable at X10

Next week to be exact and after some leaked pics of some code on twitter, somebody at Rare was saying to just announce it on their official account.The dev said, “So on February 11th, everyone at X10 will finally have a chance to get hands on with Joanna – complete with her remastered visuals and silky 60fps framerate.

“And with the 11th in mind, here’s a brand new screen showing Mr Daniel Carrington in the foyer of his iconic institute (you can see that the floor has been well polished in preparation.”
