Developed by Milestone, WRC 3 marks a radical departure from the previous titles and sees the team using a completely new graphics and game engine, developed in-house, in order to bring the 2012 WRC drivers and teams to players on all relevant gaming platforms.

WRC 3 features all the rallies in the 2012 WRC calendar, complete with all leading WRC teams and drivers in the revamped career mode.  WRC 3 also features a brand new graphics engine, called Spikengine, allowing Milestone to accurately model lighting, particle effects and other real-world characteristics to create an in-game virtual reality, offering complete immersion in the WRC universe. The cars themselves showcase new modelling techniques – they have never looked as life-like, or handled as realistically, as in WRC 3.  Milestone has streamlined every aspect of the game to allow new players instant gameplay satisfaction, while still allowing experienced rally gamers to explore the game’s full range of features and drive a WRC car from the comfort of their own home.

As well as all this, the game has improved crowd effects, rebuilt stages and new cinematic introductions to each stage. WRC 3 features more than 50 official WRC teams, alongside Class 2 and Class 3 series. WRC 3 also offers amazing Super Special Stages.

Developed by Milestone, a renowned and established Italian software developer specialized in racing games, and published by Black Bean Games,WRC 3 is scheduled for release in October 2012 for the Xbox 360, Windows PC, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

The Open Beta will allow players an opportunity to sample Medal of Honor’s rich multiplayer mode before the full game launches on October 15. For a limited time, PC gamers worldwide are invited to sample two diverse maps and two action-packed multiplayer modes. The Medal of Honor Multiplayer Open Beta will close on October 8 at 07:59am GMT. PC gamers can access the Multiplayer Open Beta at www.medalofhonor.com/pcopenbeta.

Developed by DICE, the multiplayer side of Medal of Honor delivers world-class First Person Shooter action and dedicated server support with all of the authentic settings, weapons and realistic action depicted in the single-player game.

The Medal of Honor Multiplayer Open Beta features two new maps inspired by real world locations: Kunar Base and Shahikot Mountains. Kunar Base is played in the Sector Control multiplayer mode where two sides fight to control tactical sectors of the map. Shahikot Mountains is played in the tactical and objective-based Combat Mission multiplayer mode where gamers battle through a series of objectives to defeat the opposing team. Both modes pit teams of 12 players (total 24 players) against one another with realistic destruction, tactical support actions and a weapon customization system that generates hundreds of combinations.

“The Open Beta of the Medal of Honor multiplayer mode will allow players to sample the authenticity and adrenaline-fueled action that the full game will offer on October 15,” said Frank Gibeau, President of EA Games Label. “We also hope that by offering the Multiplayer Open Beta, we can clear up any misunderstanding about the patriotism and respect that are the foundation of this game. The Medal of Honor franchise has always shown extraordinary reverence for American and Allied soldiers — this game is no exception.”

In June 2010, Medal of Honor invited thousands of gamers to participate in a Closed Beta Test that granted early access to the game and asked players to offer commentary on areas for improvement. DICE incorporated player feedback ensuring the final game is delivered with the highest level of quality. Some of the most notable fixes were made to the weapons pick-up system (pick up ammunition from downed enemies), hit detection mechanics (accuracy of shot impact), support actions were made more challenging, the unlock tree was expanded and balanced making players ascension to Tier 1 status even more eventful and a major graphics overhaul was implemented.

For the first time in its 11-year history, Medal of Honor leaves the WWII theatre and enters the modern setting of war-torn Afghanistan. The game is told through the lens of a small band of fictional characters. Medal of Honor introduces players to the Tier 1 Operator, an elite warrior and relatively unknown instrument of the U.S. Military that operates under the National Command Authority to take on missions no one else can handle.

KONAMI has released an all-new look at concept art from the game for those daring enough to enter Jigsaw’s world. The images reveal newly created deadly traps that challenge the player to think fast under pressure. Zombie Studios Producer, John Williamson, shares the vision for the game, “Just the silhouette of the character in the trap had to make the viewer uncomfortable. You had to know instantly that something bad was going to happen to this person if you didn’t get them out.” A look at the intense and detailed environments were also revealed to show the mysterious, detailed levels one can expect in this year’s release.

SAW II: Flesh & Blood threatens sanity with new stomach-twisting traps and puzzles, more visceral combat, and an all-new storyline that takes place between the first and second movies. Gamers take on the role of Detective Tapp’s estranged son Michael, who is trying to understand his father’s death. As players navigate their way through Jigsaw’s terrifying world, they will face mind-bending puzzles and must defend themselves against the minions Jigsaw has placed in their path. In order to survive Jigsaw’s games, players must use their intelligence and desire to live in order to survive.

The highly-anticipated modern shooter will launch on October 15, 2010 across Europe. The ship date will be announced at 12pm today via an emotionally charged trailer entitled “Leave A Message”. The trailer shows a U.S. Army Ranger platoon heading into combat aboard a helicopter. Microsoft has confirmed today that the sky player for xbox live will go live on October 27th.

“October 27 – that’s the date when you’ll be able to watch TV from Sky on your Xbox 360,” said Graeme Boyd, Microsoft Europe’s Xbox community manager.

Announced in May, the service will allow Xbox 360 owners to access a range of channels and programmes to view live or on-demand. Content will initially be offered in standard definition only, and won’t be recordable.

While Boyd added that channel line-up and pricing are “to come at launch”, users can expect to be able to access movies and entertainment shows, as well as documentaries and programming dedicated to kids, music, the arts and sport, including Premier League football and Test Match cricket.
