New Just Dance 3 DLC aimed at fitness

Ubisoft has announced new downloadable content for its best-selling title Just Dance 3, called “Just Sweat Packs”.

Two new Just Sweat DLC packs will be downloadable through the in-game Just Dance store on January 17^th on Xbox360 Kinect for 480 Microsoft Points and on January 18^th on Wii for 600 Wii points each.

Staying in shape for the New Year is more fun than ever with Just Dance 3.The new Just Sweat DLC packs supplement the game’s existing Just Sweat Mode on Wii and the Xbox360 Kinect tracklist, allows players to combine exercising with dancing by offering fitness-focused dance moves.

The DLC packs include all new dance tracks by the Sweat Invaders: Beat Match Until I’m Blue, Touch Me Want Me, Dun N Dusted, Cardiac Caress, Merengue and Boomsday. All the tracks will have you breaking a sweat on the dance floor!

These new tracks join other Just Dance 3 DLC songs available on Wii such as Anja’s Baby Don’t Stop Now, Studio Allstars’ Jump, Olé Orquesta’s Jambo Mambo, The Girly Team’s Twist And Shake It, U Can’t Touch This and Soul Searchin by Groove Century and In the Style of Irene Cara’s Fame, and also the Mario DLC, each priced at 250 Wii Points.

There are 19 other DLC tracks, including Cosmic Girl by Jamiroquai, Satisfaction (Isak Original Extended) by Benny Benassi and Baby Girl by Reaggaton, available on Xbox360 Kinect.

Ubisoft release Just Dance sales figures – it makes for some impressive reading

Today, Ubisoft announced that, according to internal estimates, Just Dance 3 sold through more than 7 million units since its release, bringing total sell-through of the Just Dance franchise to more than 25 million units worldwide.

Launched in October, Just Dance 3 has consistently been in the top five video game sales charts in both the U.S. (NPD) and Europe (GfK Chart Track). People spend a collective 23 million minutes playing Just Dance 3 each day around the world, having fun dancing to more than 7.5 million songs every day.*

In 2011, Ubisoft’s Just Dance franchise came to the Kinect for Xbox 360 and the PlayStation Move for PlayStation3 for the first time, in addition to its continued availability on the Wii system from Nintendo. Ubisoft recently broadened the brand with the release of Just Dance 2 Extra Songs and Just Dance Kids, and launched Just Dance in Japan and Korea, selling more than a half a million copies in those two countries.

Ubisoft also expanded its dance game offerings throughout the year with the release of ABBA You Can Dance, The Black Eyed Peas Experience, Michael Jackson The Experience, and The Smurfs Dance Party. According to internal estimates Ubisoft games accounted for 64 percent of the dance game genre in EMEA in calendar year 2011.

Just Dance 3 welcomes Mario

Ubisoft have announced a new downloadable track for its best-seller Just Dance 3, featuring Mario, the famous Nintendo videogame hero!

For the first time ever, the world’s number one dance game brand will invite the beloved plumber to show off his best dance moves. The track will be downloadable through the in-game Just Dance store on December 14^th for 250 Wii Points, exclusively on Wii.

After distinguishing himself in kart and football, Mario will set the Just Dance floor on fire with a fun dance routine showing off some of the most iconic environments and music of the Mario games. Now fans will be able to dance along with one of their favourite characters and experience his moves firsthand.

This new track joins seven other recent DLC additions: Anja’s Baby Don’t Stop Now, Studio Allstars’ Jump, Olé Orquesta’s JamboMambo, The Girly Team’sTwistShakeIt, U Can’t Touch This and Soul Searchin by Groove Century and In the Style of Irene Cara’s Fame, all priced at 250 Wii Points each.

Just Cause 2: Ultimate Edition available on PS Store today

From today, PlayStation 3 owners across Europe will have access to the incredible Just Cause 2: Ultimate Edition, an adrenaline-fuelled compilation pack featuring the very best in sandbox gameplay, available for download in the PlayStation Store.

Just Dance 3 autodance app goes live

Today Ubisoft announced the launch of the Just Dance 3 Autodance application, the first Just Dance application for smartphones.

Available today on the App Store and soon on the Android marketplace, this new application is free and allows anyone to create great dance videos, wherever they are.

The concept of Just Dance 3 Autodance is to create your own Just Dance videos thanks to your iPhone or Android smartphone. The application records four sequences and then combines them to create a short video matching one of the three Just Dance 3 songs available in the application:

· Duck Sauce – “Barbara Streisand”
· The Sugarhill Gang – “Apache (Jump on it)”
· Konshens – “Jamaïcan Dance”

The created videos can then be shared on the users’ Facebook pages and through a special Youtube channel that hosts all the Autodance submissions: www.youtube.com/jd3autodance.

GAME FRAME – Friday 26th March 2010

Another day, another load of crazy and sometimes pointless news that we don’t really need to know, much like the ongoing coverage of Jordan and whoever she’s seeing, marrying or slagging, but never mind. News time…
Easy Tiger (especially after the last few months…)

Information about Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 are beginning to come out, now that the worse for wear press involving the golfing cash magnet has died off a little.

There will be the usual plethora of courses and all the major PGA players will also be in attendance, but the major changes will bring some much needed online muscle. A 24 player team based online mode has been introduced to allow 2 teams of 12 to compete against each other. There is also a Ryder Cup option, giving you the option to represent your country at the most prestigious team tournament in golf.

The tees will be getting ripped up on the 8th and 11th June in the US and Europe respectively.

It’s not so Lost anymore…

Lost Planet 2’s demo will be available next week. Our assumptions will be that it’s part of the single player mode, following the mixed reactions of the multiplayer one which was put out a few months ago. It’s penned for release in May, so hopefully this taster will get us in the mood for this action packed sequel.

Quick mention to the big releases

Just Cause 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum (Game of the Year Edition) and Pokemon Heart Gold/Soul Silver are the high profile releases of the week, with Settlers 7, Last Rebellion, Resonance of Fate and Prison Break also worthy of mention.

Not a great deal of interesting news, but I’m a bit rusty, so bear with me.

Square Enix London Studios today announced an incredible, action-packed demo for the hotly anticipated freeroaming action game Just Cause 2 will release on March 4th, 2010. Available for PS3, 360 and PC, the Just Cause 2 demo will feature a massive 35 square miles of the Lautan Lama Desert, a vast expanse of stunning, sun-scorched scenery taking up just one of the many islands in the 400 square miles of the Panau archipelago. Packed with towns, villages, military installations, mountain ranges, missions and more, the demo will feature an astonishing amount of activities for the player… and opportunities for adrenaline-fuelled chaos are limitless.

Hunt down and assassinate one of the game’s 50 military colonels; devastate military bases, bio fuel chambers, government infrastructure and more; hijack tuk tuks, military 4x4s, armoured vehicles, mopeds, helicopter gunships, light aircraft, mini vans and numerous other military and civilian vehicles; freefall from desert outcrops or from burning planes at 20,000 feet; and unlock one full, multi-stage mission, traversing the mountains to a heavily fortified government radar station and ending in an unforgettable desert car chase.
