EA Sports today unveiled the complete music track listing for EA Sports SSX, featuring 36 licensed tracks* by established and upcoming artists and ten original tracks composed specifically for the game’s Deadly Descents.

In addition, these original ten tracks – created by The Qemists, Camo & Krooked, Raffertie, and Amon Tobin – are now available for download as part of the ‘SSX’ soundtrack via iTunes.

“SSX has always been one of EA’s most music intensive, genre diverse and sonically adventurous titles,” says Steve Schnur, Worldwide Executive of Music & Music Marketing. “The songs on this new soundtrack cover ground from indie rock, dub step, hip-hop, drum + bass and beyond. As fans of the ultimate snowboarding franchise have come to expect, our artists range from top cutting-edge stars to tomorrow’s hottest underground acts. Ultimately, it’s a soundtrack full of next-level music that is totally ripe for discovery.”

Gamers will have the ability to upload their own music to SSX to create custom playlists for menu and in-game music. SSX also features a dynamic music remix tool that will automatically remix licensed tracks and custom music based on the player’s actions and performance in-game.

One of the most critically-acclaimed titles coming out of E3, SSX is now featured on 14 ‘Most Anticipated Games of 2012’. SSX launches on the PlayStation3 and Xbox 360 on February 28 in North America and by March 2 in the rest of the world**.

Shank 2 releases today

Independent game developer Klei Entertainment and EA Partners today announced that the cinematic 2D action brawler, Shank 2, is now available on the PlayStation Network in Europe for £7.99 and will be available tomorrow on Xbox LIVE Arcade for 800 Microsoft Points.

The highly anticipated sequel earned an 8.5/10 from IGN.com, who called the game, “ …One of the best action games in recent memory.”

Shank 2 drops players into a stunning pulp fiction world as Shank, an ex-mob hitman who is forced down the road to redemption after his village comes under brutal attack. With precise and fluid controls, tons of new weapons, stronger enemies and the most advanced combo system of any 2D brawler,Shank 2 delivers a dynamic and evolved combat experience. In game social network coming to Fifa Street 3

EA Sports announced today a new feature in FIFA Street called the Street Network that will encourage social competition among players when the game launches at retail worldwide on March 13, 2012 for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.

Through the Street Network, players will be able to capture video of their best tricks and share them in-game with friends, showing off their personal favorites and embarrassing their opponents. In addition, friends will be able to track and compare each other’s progress throughout the game, including World Tour story mode and Head-to-Head Online Seasons, and follow each other’s status in EA Sports Football Club.

“Street football is all about the one-on-one battle, when you pull off a trick to roast your opponent,” said producer Sid Misra. “The Street Network brings that real-world swagger into the game by enabling players to capture video of those moments and share them with everyone in their street network to see, and providing friends with a way to compare each other throughout the game.”

In World Tour, where gamers create a team of friends and compete in a connected world against other FIFA Street gamers’ teams, players will be able to follow each other’s status as they build their squads, unlock new tricks, and progress through the story of their journey to street football glory. Syndicate co-op demo coming soon

In 2069 the world is divided into regions controlled by three mega-corporations known as Syndicates. Starting the end of January with the release of the four-player Syndicate co-op demo, gamers have the power to create their own Syndicate to take down the competition.

Some takeovers will be more hostile than others. The co-op missions tell the story of a new Syndicate on the rise, Wulf Western. As agents of Wulf Western, gamers must dominate their rivals – Cayman Global, Aspari and Eurocorp – by acquiring their technology and headhunting their senior executives. Just like in the single player campaign, at the frontline of this war are the Agents, the Syndicates’ bio-engineered and chip-augmented enforcers. Through the DART6 bio-chip technology implanted in their heads, they can breach anything in the wired world – enemies, weapons, even the environment – making them the most efficient and deadly technological weapons in the world.

The Syndicate co-op demo will feature one of the nine missions in the game, all of which can be played with up to four players and many of which have been reimagined from the original hit game. In this mission called Western Europe, gamers must team up and infiltrate Cayman Global, assassinate Colonel Enrico Gabron, steal his technology blueprints and force his people back across the Atlantic. The odds of success look promising with Cayman Global badly weakened after their war against Eurocorp, but it won’t come easy. The Syndicate co-op demo will be available worldwide for a limited time on Xbox LIVE® Marketplace** and the PlayStation®Network.

Syndicate is the re-imagining of a cult classic franchise from 1993 – a unique and brutal action shooter set in a not too distant future, where Business is War. The gamewill be available on February 21, 2012 in North America and February 24, 2012 in Europe for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
