This downloadable Coliseum Battle allows players to pit their wits against Lieutenant Amodar, a member of Cocoon’s specialist military division called the Guardian Corps; and Lightning, heroine of Final Fantasy XIII and previously a member of the same unit. Players are provided a rare opportunity to battle the duo, where defeating them also allows the player to add both characters to their party.

More well-known characters and monsters from past Final Fantasy titles will be making an appearance soon, so watch this space.

The bow weapon for Serah called “Azrael” created through collaboration between Square Enix and Microsoft, will also be available exclusively for the Xbox 360 from today, for 80 Microsoft Points.

Call of Duty Elite Drop 1: Liberation, a militarised Central Park in the heart of NYC, featuring a vast landscape ripe for long-range sniper and LMG kills. Activision Publishing, revealed today that the content will be available first for Call of Duty Elite’s premium members on Xbox LIVE, followed by additional platforms at a later time. From January through September, Call of Duty Elite premium members on Xbox LIVE will receive regular updates of all new content totaling at least 20 content drops.

The Modern Warfare 3 Content Season for Call of Duty Elite will include a broader variety than ever, with brand new multiplayer maps, Special Ops Missions, new game modes and more. While Call of Duty Elite premium subscribers get the new content first, as promised, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 fans who want to buy the content a la carte as they have in the past, will be able to purchase the content via Modern Warfare 3 Content Collections.

“The mammoth launch of Modern Warfare 3 and the breakout success of Call of Duty Elite were just the beginning. All content drops for Call of Duty Elite premium members will occur once a month, starting in January for Xbox Live users and will continue through the year, ending in September. During the first three months of 2012, Activision will release five different content drops on three occasions in January, February and March, first on Xbox Live, followed by additional platforms at a later time.

The first two Content Drops will be multiplayer maps—also playable in Modern Warfare 3 Survival Mode—that throw combatants into a war-tornCentral Park and an Italian seaside village. Liberation is a vast, militarized landscape, ripe for long-range sniper and LMG fire, with mounted turrets on either end that lend power to anyone brave enough to expose themselves in exchange for deadly firepower. In DUNGEON SIEGE III: TREASURES OF THE SUN, players will extend their journey and travel beyond the borders of Ehb to an all-new environment: the Aranoi Desert. On their search for a lost Legion hero, players will fight through hordes of new villains only to find a forgotten abbey hiding a long-lost secret: the greatest treasure of the Azunite faith.

Further supporting the hours of new content in the expansion, developer Obsidian Entertainment has introduced several refinements to the systems and mechanics of DUNGEON SIEGE III.

• New abilities: Players will be able to attain mastery of the arcane through powerful new attack, defence and healing abilities.
• Level up to 35: DUNGEON SIEGE III: TREASURES OF THE SUN will further power-up players by raising DUNGEON SIEGE III’s existing level cap from 30 to 35.
• More monsters and items: Players will encounter new monsters in the Aranoi Desert—including mummies and giant skeletons—and will find more powerful items, adding to the thousands already available in DUNGEON SIEGE III.
• Reallocate Talent & Proficiency Points: Players can reallocate points spent in Proficiencies and Talents, enabling changes to character customisation throughout the campaign.
• New Enchanting System: Transmuting items now gives players chances at gaining powerful new Vials which allow enhancing of weapons and armour through the DLC’s new enchanting system.

The game’s first DLC, Agents of Change, will be FREE for two weeks on Xbox LIVE, PSN, and Steam! The content is currently in submission at Microsoft and Sony and we expect it to release in early July. As previously mentioned, the DLC features two all-new environments, five new player abilities, two new outfits, and two new weapon attachments. Be sure to check out the screenshots through the link below.

In tandem with the DLC, the teams at Splash Damage and Bethesda have been hard at work on the next major title update for Brink. The update is highlighted by online optimizations, AI enhancements and weapon balance tweaks based on player feedback. A separate, incremental update is now available on PC, while players of the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 version of Brink can expect the full title update alongside the release of Agents of Change.
