Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas get PSN discounts

Bethesda are pleased to let you know that from today until May 30^th all Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas add-on packs will be discounted on the SCEE PlayStation Network.There will be a 30% discount on all Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas individual add-on packs (with an extra 10% discount for PlayStation Plus members) and a 50% discount for fans buying all add-ons as a bundle (with an extra 20% discount for PlayStation Plus members).

The Fallout 3 bundle includes all five add-on packs: Broken Steel, Mothership Zeta, Operation: Anchorage, Point Lookout and The Pitt.

The Fallout: New Vegas bundle includes all four add-on packs: Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Lonesome Road, Old World Blues along with two additional packs: Courier’s Stash and Gun Runners’ Arsenal.

Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. today announced that Diablo III, the highly anticipated next chapter in its award-winning action–role-playing-game series, is now available in retail stores throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, South Korea, Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau.

Gamers in the regions above as well as in Mexico, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil are also able to purchase Diablo III digitally via the game’s official website (http://www.diablo3.com).

In the wake of a Blizzard record of more than 2 million preorders, and following more than 8,000 midnight launch events earlier today at retail stores worldwide,gamers across the planet are now storming Sanctuary in hot pursuit of the Lord of Terror.

“This launch is a culmination of many years of hard work by our development team, and many years of passionate, dedicated support from gamers around the world,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. “We’re grateful for the enthusiasm of our players, and for the help of our beta testers in getting the game ready for release. Diablo III is available for Windows XP/Windows Vista/Windows 7 and Macintosh at a suggested price of € 59.99 (£ 44.99) for both the retail DVD-ROM version and the digital version sold directly from Blizzard. A special alabaster-white Collector’s Edition, sold exclusively in retail stores while supplies last at a suggested price of € 89.99 (£ 69.99), includes the game on DVD-ROM, a behind-the-scenes Blu-ray/DVD two-disc set, the Diablo III soundtrack CD, a 208-page Art of Diablo III book, and a 4 GB USB soulstone (including full versions of Diablo II and Diablo II: Lord of Destruction)and corresponding Diablo skullbase, as well as exclusive in-game content for Diablo III, World of Warcraft, and StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty. Diablo III has received a Mature rating from the ESRB.

Players in the Latin American countries listed above and in Russia will be able to purchase Diablo III at local retail locations starting June 7. Battlefield 3 double XP weekend under way

Beginning Saturday, May 12 at 12:01AM PST and continuing through Sunday, May 13 at 11:59PM PST, all soldiers in the Battlefield 3 brigade will earn double XP in matches across all maps and modes.

During the Battlefield 3 Double XP Weekend players will continue to wage all-out-war in Battlefield 3 multiplayer. At the conclusion of each match, players total points for the round will be reflected in the end of round screen and classified as ‘ADDITIONAL POINT”. Double XP will be accrued across all ranked servers and matches.

Since its launch on Oct. 25, Battlefield 3 has become the fastest selling title in EA’s 20+ year history selling more than 15 million units since release. Lauded by game critics worldwide for its compelling single player campaign, intense co-op missions and its addictive and world class multiplayer, Battlefield 3 has won more than 120 awards including IGN.com’s “Best Multiplayer Game of 2011.”

Rockstar reveal arcade modes for Max Payne 3

Max Payne 3′s Arcade Modes bring intense bonus shootout challenges to the single-player game experience – featuring “Score Attack” and the return of the classic “New York Minute” mode from the first two Max Payne games in explosive form.

In addition to the trill of besting your own top scores (and the scores of all your Friends and Crew members at the new Social Club), high scores also reward you exclusive multiplayer avatars and XP benefits.

So after you’ve earned a Platinum ranking for your historic Score Attack and New York Minute runs from level to level, you will not only earn a boat load of XP, but also unlock coveted character avatars for Multiplayer Deathmatch like Fabiana Branco, Passos and more.

Crew Up through Rockstar Social Club

Rockstar Games have released the crews feature onto the world as promised on Monday during the official reboot of the Rockstar Games Social Club. Now is the time to register, recruit and rally your Social Club CREW – or find a solid Crew to join that is poised for absolute domination in Max Payne 3 Multiplayer.

Each Crew can also create their own original signature crest using the robust Emblem Editor toolkit. Read on for more detail – or just head over to the SC now to Crew up…

That’s right, you can now create or join your own rough and tumble CREW in preparation for slaughter in Max Payne 3 Multiplayer. Hit the CREW UP button on your profile page and you can browse Featured Crews looking for recruits or invite your mates to join your ranks to blast through Gang Wars and Team Deathmatch together, racking up XP and starting online Feud beefs come next week. Every Social Club member can belong to up to 5 Crews, so form your allegiances wisely.

All Crew leaders can also designate their squad as a particular type of Crew that best describes their M.O.: All-Stars who consider themselves elite players and strive to hit the upper echelons of the Leaderboards, Soldiers who are in for serious teamwork and killing field success, Rebels out to just kick some ass and make their presence known, Thrill Seekers who prefer mayhem over ranking up and cheevos, and Chatter Boxes for those gregarious socialites of the Social Club we know from official Event chats.

The CREWS page also contains info on the in-game benefits Crew members get in online Multiplayer. You’ll receive an XP boost whenever you fight as part of a Crew or battle against rival Crews and their members online. This means you’ll effectively unlock bigger and better weapons more quickly than if you’re flying solo. And because this feature is linked through the Social Club, you can represent your Crew across PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Create an original battle crest to be displayed on your Crew’s online Multiplayer avatars by crafting a unique emblem with this new and robust customization toolkit. The Emblem Editor is packed with thousands of shapes, colors and icons and tools to create limitless possibilities to properly represent your squad and to intimidate, psyche out or stupefy the competition.

For those who are all thumbs whether it’s PhotoShop or MS Paint – no worries – the Emblem Editor is super easy to use and there’s a helpful tutorial to step you through it all and get you started. Any Crew member can create and propose an Emblem crest by uploading it to the Crew’s gallery, and it’s up to the designated Crew leader to issue the seal of approval and assign it to represent the team in online Multiplayer.

Any Crew created between now until next week Tuesday May 15th will have the honorable distinction of being a FOUNDER CREW. Members of Founder Crews will have a special two-stripe designation on their in-game Crew tag to let everyone else online know of their O.G. veteran status. We’re also planning some other special benefits and perks for members of Founders Crews down the line so please stay tuned for updates and notifications to your Social Club profile.
