Tony Hawk: Shred released today, we unearth Britain’s oldest skater

We, at mature-gaming.com, love a story that shows older people putting their skills to the test.  Whether that be gaming or in real life we always like to show that an older person can play a young person’s game.

With that in mind, and the release of Tony Hawk: Shred today, we give you Alfred Simmons,a 70 year old retiree that still skates to this day around London skateparks to keep himself fit and agile.

Alfred says: “Now I’m retired I can do the things I enjoy.  Some of my friends and family think I’m a little crazy doing what they think is an extreme sport, but I’d rather be pulling off an ollie than sitting at home watching tv”.

Get in old man – we love you!

Do you know someone that is older?  We would love to hear from you.
