Tiesto confirmed as EU spokesperson for D.J. Hero 2
Tiësto, the world’s hottest DJ, will act as a European ambassador and spokesperson for DJ Hero 2, the follow up to DJ Hero, Activision announced today.
In addition to appearing as an in-game playable character and lending three of his most well-known tracks – “Come On” vs. Diplo, “I Will Be Here” with Sneaky Sound System and the all-new “Speed Rail” – to the game’s mixlist, the GRAMMY nominee has also created two new remixes of his own exclusively for DJ Hero 2. When the party starts in Europe on 22nd October, budding beat chemists, singing sensations and all of their friends will fade, scratch, and sample to Tiësto’s remixes of Adamski’s “Killer” and Lady Gaga’s international smash hit “Bad Romance.”
“I’ve had the honour of playing in front of millions of people, and have worked with some of the biggest artists on the planet, but being the European Ambassador for DJ Hero 2 is one of my proudest achievements. It’s every child’s dream to actually be in a video game,” said the dance music icon. “Europe has always been at the forefront of new music and club culture, and it’s a great feeling to be a part of something that will bring the excitement of the world’s biggest clubs into peoples’ homes.”
Having worked with the likes of Muse, Justin Timberlake, Jónsi from Sigur Rós, Flo Rida, Sean Kingston and Three 6 Mafia, performed for billions of fans at the opening ceremonies of the Athens Olympics and headlined the Coachella and Bonnaroo music festivals among others, Tiësto was the natural choice to promote DJ Hero 2 across Europe.
