Saints Row 4 rumoured for August

Deep Silver have something “huge” planned for PAX East and the popular rumor going around the campfire is that Saints Row 4 will be shown, as Deep Silver are now the owners of the franchise since THQ’s demise at the start of the year.

According to a tweet from Deep Silver’s Aubery Norris: “Dear Media: You’re going to want to be at PAX East this year. If not, you’re going to be missing out on something HUGE. Just FYI!”

Whilst at this stage nothing was relevant and the only game that it could be about was Saints Row 4, Chris Stockman who was the design director on Saints Row 1 and is currently lead designer at Human Head, tweeted he’s heard “around the campfire” that the game is slated for current-gen consoles in August leading to further speculation that we will be seeing Saints Row 4 this year.

This is either a pretty ballsy move by Deep Silver or a bad business decision if it comes to light that Saints Row 4 will indeed be coming out in August considering that Grand Theft Auto 5 is scheduled to be released in September. We will have to wait until PAX East to find out the truth behind it all but for now let the speculation run wild.
