Heavy Rain movie in the works

Back in May 2010 an auction for Heavy Rain’s screen rights was coming to an end, when Unique Features made the bid whose company was started by Bob Shaye and Michael Lynne, after they exited New Line.
Shaye and Lynee posted a top bid for the rights whilst using Shaye’s own finances to seal the deal having decided not to wait for approval to purchase it.
Now it is understood that the adaptation of the video games has bagged itself a high profile producer. Deadwood/NYPD Blue producer David Milch has now signed on to the film, joining Bob Shaye and Michael Lynne.
Although the film is being fast tracked for now, Milch is scheduled to start work after the first series of HBO is completed.
During an interview with ‘Variety’ Shaye said “David Milch’s incredible ability to transform intense and complex storylines into gripping, popular drama makes him the perfect partner for us to have on ‘Heavy Rain,.’
At this point it’s unclear how much of Quantic Dreams’ Heavy Rain will make it over to the big screen but time will tell and let’s just hope they do it justice.
