Clear your calendars, the next Mature Gaming LAN Party, in association with thatgameshop.com, has been announced for March 22nd and its in our favourite spot – Jubilee Hall Ollerton. A full 48 hours of gaming and merriment, and fantastic opportunity to put faces to gamertags.
Jubilee Hall has been our home for over 2 years now and with its stage, ample floor space, kitchen and separate sleeping area, not to mention the pub next door! makes for a perfect LAN venue. Tables and chairs will be provided, but you will need to bring a few things yourself…

So what does a gamer need to survive the weekend?
- Xbox 360 (other consoles and PCs are welcome)
- TV/Monitor
- Ethernet Cable
- Extension lead with up to 4 sockets
- Sleeping bag
- Pocket money for food and refreshments
- And all the games you can get your hands on.
The must have games…
To ensure we have at least a few games that everyone will be able to play at the same time we’re suggesting you find or borrow a copy of the following…
- Black Ops 2
- Halo 4
- Gears of War Judgement
If racing’s your bag then the best bet is still Forza 2, F1 2011 or PGR4, since some of the newer games lack system link support.
Tournaments & competitions
Over the weekend we’ll be hold a few events to bring everyone together, details of these will be published nearer the time, along with a more concrete games list.
